HISTORY OF VIEW CHURCH

View Church, formerly known as Clearview Foursquare, was planted in 1999 in Woodinville, WA. Founding pastors, Paul & Nancy Benson were sent from Mill Creek Foursquare Church. In 2003, Woodinville Foursquare purchased the current building in Clearview with the funds given from the passing away of associate pastor, Ray Hall, and became Clearview Foursquare.

In December, 2013, Paul and Nancy Benson passed off the church to Kyle and Kara Veach. In 2019, Clearview Foursquare was rebranded as View Church.

WHAT IS FOURSQUARE?

FOURSQUARE DENOMINATION | We belong to the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. The "FOUR SQUARES" refers to the four-fold ministry of Jesus Christ: He is the SAVIOR, BAPTIZER with the Holy Spirit, HEALER, and SOON-COMING KING.

FOURSQUARE HISTORY | As a denomination, The Foursquare Church has a unique history that stems from missions and evangelism. It began as a powerful evangelistic movement and spread throughout the nations to become the global family it is today.

On Jan. 1, 1923, founder Sister Aimee Semple McPherson, held her very first church service at Angelus Temple in Los Angeles.
February 1923 - She starts the First Foursquare Bible Institute (now known as Life Pacific University) - to train men and women as ministers
In 1927, 100 Foursquare churches had been planted
As of 2023, there are over 8.8 million members in over 67,500 churches across 150 nations

FOURSQUARE GOVERNANCE | The Foursquare denomination is a Pentecostal Christian denomination that is governed through a system of "episcopal presbyterianism." This means that the denomination is led by a President who serves as the chief executive officer (CEO) and oversees a board of directors and a cabinet. Additionally, there are several districts within Foursquare US with a district supervisor, regional pastors, and area pastors who are responsible for appointing and overseeing ministers and church leaders. View Church is in the “Northwest District”.
